When the Wrench (insert wrench symbol) is blinking this can be indicative of a few different issues that will prevent the controller for being effectively able to monitor the weather.

Lets go over the causes and possible fixes for each.
Here are the 4 main Diagnostics Checks:
WiFi Connection
Weather Data Internet Connectivity
Location Set
System Time Set
1. WiFi Connection:
One of the top reasons for WiFi Connection to be intermittent is do to WiFi Signal Strength (range). Click Here for solutions.
If your working with strong WiFi signal and still running into problems we suggest powering the RainMachine down and then powering it back up.
If you still continue to have issues then we suggest unplugging the USB Antenna, to be sure there is no debris in the USB slot. Once clear, reinsert Antenna.
You may also want to contact support if you continue experiencing problems.
2. Weather Data Internet Connectivity:
When Weather Data is failing its typically related to something else failing.
For instance if Location Set or WiFi Connection was failing so would Weather Data.
If Location and WiFi pass, then check to be sure you have a Weather Service enabled that is functional in your region.
3. Location Set:
This can be found under Wrench > System > Location Date & Time
Make sure you have the Address set for the location that will be managed by the RainMachine to ensure proper weather forecasting, this will prevent the Location Set diagnostic from failing.
4. System Time Set:
If you see a fail on this diagnostic its best to power down the device and then power it back up. This will force a time sync.
