Looks like the new Mini-8 is out.  What is new with this version?

  Specs look like the same to me as the 1st ed. mini-8.  Where is the dual band wifi, dual antenna, and other features that were announced as part of the 2nd gen mini-8 that had been under development for half of 2016?

  Thanks for confirming what I saw.  It looks like this also have the same model number. 

  Can you show me where it was announced that the new version was supposed to have "dual band wifi, dual antenna..."?  I was unable to find anything in the Rainmachine blog.

  TC: the info I referenced had been on the product front page, as well as the detail page for the Mini-8.  Gone now, but it was there for months.

  TC: So, the question remains, what's new with the "new" Mini-8?  I was anxiously awaiting the upgraded wifi features, as I know that would be the only way to get a decent signal at the location where I have to put the panel.  Drag, maybe next year.
