3rd Party Rain Sensor Beta
Thank you...the wiring you supplied for the Beta works great. The sensor hardware and the RainMachine behave as it should.
But 1 last question - I hope.
What is the suggested setting? I did not have options before. I assume: resume normal operation.
Thanks for all of the support!!!

I tried simulating rain, and it cleared all running programs and did not resume the watering program.
I thought it would pause the program, and resume after rain was no longer detected, but I read here on this forum that a rain event clears the program que.
I was kind of hoping the program would resume running where it left off.

The rain sensor with the old controller, stopped the program until the sensor dried out, a couple of days typically. The program would then start a new cycle a day or so later.
The only test I am able to run on the HD-12 is to press the button on the sensor, it then sends a signal to the HD-12 pauses the cycle and shows a red message on the screen. I have not started a watering cycle and then activated the sensor. And because I shut down the old controller, I can no longer test the old controller to see what would happen.
But because the cork in the sensor expands to activate it I would expect watering to stop and reset. My sensor is set to activate at a quarter inch of water. I would want the watering cycle to stop and reset.
My lawn requires about an inch of water a week. So if I get a 1/4 inch rain, that would hold me for one fourth of my weekly needs.

I really had no idea about beta but I paid for the rain sensor and I've attached it. So far there is not rain so no updates. But,....
I really wish there was an one more option to "Check Rain amount and then resume" to adjust the running program on the fly after rain. It should not resume right away, it should wait till it gets updated rain amount. This option should be available if there is at least one active weather service providing real data.
