Amazon Echo wont connect
Hi
I just got my Echo and it wont find the rain machine. I have it checked marked in settings and I have rebooted the machine.
Any ideas from people who have gotten echo to directly connect to their rainmachine?
Thanks

You mean under 'Smart Home'? Your 'Zone' names are not correct? When I first attempted to find new devices with 'Alexa' I had to push the button at least 5 times for all the zones and programs to show up, I would delete the ones that did not show up correctly. With each push 'she' found a few more. Currently 'she' will show many of the zones and programs 'off-line' - I then made 'Groups' that point to the 'Devices', being 'Zones' or 'Programs' or Groups of each and they seem to work correctly even when many state 'Off-line'. 'Alexa' is not perfect. Hope some of this works for you also.

Hi, all
Other things to consider is the human names for your program and zones.
Alexa have hard times to discover zone/program names like "PDG 1" or "Zone 1" just use lower case and short names that describe best your irrigation system.I use: "flowers", "lawn back", "lawn front", "drippy" for my zones and "morning", "daily", and "two days" for my programs.
Alexa finds them nicely.
Hope that helps.
