Zone options...
New suggestion. Currently you offer zone type information for the type of soil you have and then you have a custom set up.
Current listings are as follows.
Could you have something further with each of those sections possibly?
I will stick with lawn. So we say someone selects lawn. there could be a second dropdown created that will allow the user to select a generic grass type in there if they are unaware of what grass they have and then further selections for the type of grass they may have. Be it basic bermuda, Bermuda 419, St Augustine, buffalo, winter rye, and a few others. I am aware this will cause more overhead in the programming, but there are differing watering times and requirements for each.
Before anyone says this I will address it. I am aware there is the "custom" selection. Not many will understand this section or how to apply it.
I have not even begun to look at this myself, but just a cursory overview of it and it looks like I will be required to know information that the average consumer would not understand. My suggestion would require that the programmers/developers entering data based on information for differing grasses and their watering requirements.
Just a thought. I know this is suppose to be a global product, but something like this would be useful to help apply the proper amount of water/ cycle info that a basic setup would not have. Yes, using the data in the custom would be a way to go, but again...understanding this section; or for a lack of a better term, dumbing it down, would be helpful to the novice users.

Another thing that may help. I have sloped yards. Not knowing the degree of which each of the selections are in the current setup makes me have to guess at what I should set it at.
How about putting in the custom area a way to input the actual degree of the slope and not the amount of water before run off? I know the degrees of slope in my yard for each zone.
Just another random thought.
