Are any firmware updates coming up?  Seems like there have been many postings of good ideas but not much happening with new Rainmachine developments for awhile...

  Yes. We are working on that and the "Planned" requested features and fixes will be addressed in our next firmware release.
  Be sure to enroll in Beta Firmware Update channel and you'll be the first to test it when we will release it in beta state.

  I downloaded the latest beta firmware and it looks interesting.

  One question: within programs, I see you can now set a start date and an end date, but why does it have you enter a year when entering the beginning or end dates?

  For example, if you enter a start date of 3/1/18 and an end date of 7/31/18 for a program, will it work next year for the period 3/1/19 to 7/31/19, and so on in future years?

  Seems like there is no need for a year, just need to set a starting and ending day of month for the programs that will repeat from year to year.

  You also have a *recurring* checkbox if you want to repeat next year. As for the year input you might have a period like 2018-12-01 - 2019-03-01. You can also make a program for 2 years (a growing season). The programs with more than 1 year span *can't* be set as *recurring* .
