Sorry - beginning 2/17 - fat fingered the date on the title.

I would put an random email/password in the Authentification field hit save and refresh. It will of course fail.

Then hit DEFAULTS, SAVE, and fill back the proper credential information, SAVE and REFRESH ALL.

I would also wait maybe 10 minutes before trying to run with proper credentials.

Well one irritating thing about the "refresh" button is that it gives ZERO indication of whether it worked or not.
Check mark comes on. Check mark goes off. Not success message. No error message. Same with correct and incorrect credentials.
Jack for feedback. What a design.

Procedure failed - even with the "wait" inserted.

I need you to think about the following:

    1) Last successfully run: 2021-02-16 18:59:25

    2) Errors (and associated lockout emails from NetAtmo) started after that

    3) I had made NO configuration changes - no account changes, no password changes...NADA

So the configuration was correct and working until about 18:59:25 last night and now it is broken. All of the changes I have made have been to try to work AROUND this issue. I had made no changes until today.

Up to that point, I had done nothing that would have broken it (indeed - I had done nothing at all).

So I would not be looking at MY configuration as the source of the problem. The firmware is buggy, or maybe NetAtmo changed their auth protocol, or something else - but it would be an alarmingly crappy design to have a config that was working perfectly just randomly stop doing so with no diagnostic indicators and no notice that it is failing. You need to look deeper.

We have running NetAtmo parsers on our test lab, and yesterday we also tested if a fresh install will login/auth correctly with NetAtmo. So far no issues on multiple RainMachine. Can you please check if in your NetAtmo My Account > Settings > Partner Apps you have RainMachine listed ?

Other than that, maybe NetAtmo RainMachine app is being blocked on your account due to auth fails ? Just disable the NetAtmo service, after you press DEFAULTS for at least 10 minutes before trying again.

If still not successful, please leave the correct NetAtmo credentials saved on your account and we'll try will investigate deeper.

I let it sit overnight with the bad credentials and then followed your recommended procedure this morning.

Repeated attempts to refresh on the web ui continued to show failure.

But then when I logged into the app on my phone, it showed success.

So the web UI has problems with timely updates when status changes.

Thanks - it is working now.

Thanks for the feedback, we are improving Web UI for the next update and we also have improvements in the areas reported by you.

    I have the same issue.

Could it be that Netatmo reduced the amount of allowed queries within a certain timeframe?

When I get the authentication error in the web interface and then try to login with the same account data on the Netatmo website, I get a "Too many connection attempts. Please try again later."

Deactivating the parser and re-activating after some time seems to solve the issue then.

While debugging the issue in order to create a fix myself, I found this discussion:

    https://support.rainmachine.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360051954213-Need-help-with-Netatmo-Service

Out of curiosity I tried the parser that Nicholas attached there and it is actually working. So for everyone affected by the problem: Head over to the thread and install the custom "Australia" version of the Netatmo parser that is attached there.
