Issue with Master Valve on Touch 12
I just installed Touch 12 with master valve (set as Zone 1). There seems to be an issue with Rain machine supply enough power to the master valve, and the valve can be opened for a few second, lost power (I tested it using multimeter). If I connect master valve directly to another 24V power supply, and running Touch 12 at the same time, it works fine. So Touch 12 can't control master valve and running sprinkler at the same time, probably due to my master valve is too old and draws too much power. I probably need to add a relay and separate power supply to drive master valve.

It sounds like you've done your research, and I agree with your outcome. I also want to add, more often then not with this situation I usually find a 220v pump being run off a relay. Typically just replacing this relay with one that takes slightly less power, does the trick. What is the master valve turning on?
Thanks again for the input as well.

The master valve turns on the supply to the sprinkler system (I have 6).
Just an update, I have installed a relay, also upgraded the power supply to 40VA (not sure the rating on the one came with rainmachine), it is working now. In case other people having similar issue with rain machine not able to handle a "power hungry" MV, this is one of the solutions.
