Windows 10 universal app
Gathering FeedbackThere are a number of people making comments about not having an alternative to iOS and Android. Windows 10 has been out long enough: a windows 10 universal app should be in the works. It would work with all windows 10 devices (PCs, tablets, phones). And since everyone with win7 and win8 are/were eligible for free upgrades to win10, this should help alleviate the accessibility gap.
A browser-based solution should also be considered for people running older versions of Windows, Linux, etc.

I have not bought a Rain Machine yet but I was planning to when my new home (under construction) is complete and when we start the landscape design. Managing the controller from my I-phone is great for when I am actually out in the yard and working on the zones. But otherwise, when I am in my house and doing any programming changes, seeing zone status, or checking on weather adjustments, I would strongly prefer to do it from my Windows 10 laptop. When I am in my house, I usually put my phone down and don't touch it.

Hi, all
Thank you for your suggestions.
Currently, there is no plan to release a RainMachine Windows 10 universal app.
To control the RainMachine device from your Windows/Mac laptop/desktop simply access the RainMachine Web application interface:1) type the RainMachine device local IP address into your internet browser address bar, when you are on the same Wi-Fi network with the RainMachine device
2) if you're not on the same Wi-Fi network go to https://my.rainmachine.com and enter your remote access email address and RainMachine password to access it from outside your local network.
Thank you.

The web app is fine. It works as well as any "app" for windows 10, and the bonus is that it doesn't forward your every keystroke to Microsoft. Windows 7 (& 8) users do NOT need another excuse to try to force us to the privacy-invasive, targeted-ad, pile of steaming crap that is Windows 10. Even if the app didn't work with Edge (it does), there are other alternative web browsers that all work on 10, the web app works on them too, you don't have to drink the Microsoft kool-aid.
