varying the frequency rather than the duration (for drought resistance)
ImplementedI'm only recently looking into these things and don't claim to be an expert, but most of what I can find online seems to suggest the frequency of watering should be more variable than the duration. The idea is that that the time to saturate the soil doesn't really vary that much and (at least in California) we should always aim for a deep watering in order to encourage deep roots and drought tolerance. It may be necessary to water more often when conditions require, but each watering should provide the full amount necessary to saturate the root zone. It would be great if there was a mode that automatically varied the frequency of watering rather than the duration.

Nicholas,
I've enabled Beta quality updates, restarted my device (HD-12) and checked for updates, but it says there are no updates found. I am currently on version v4.0.900 and don't see any options for "Adaptive Frequency". What is the beta version number that contains "Adaptive Frequency", just so I can be sure when/if it updates? And is there any documentation on the new feature yet on how to set it up?
Thanks!
