Rain Sensor- Last Detected Rain Event Always Never

On my Mini-8, the rain sensor is connected, working, the Mini-8 reads it properly and pauses as programmed.

Under Options->Rain Sensor, Last Detected Rain Event is always Never.

Just a display bug, but nice if it were corrected.

    mine shows the last event., but would be nice to show a log of when detected, when cleared. maybe it is already somewhere but don't think so.

    Mine always shows 'Never' for Last Detected Rain Event'.

    It is incorrect and should be changed.
    My unit is paused for rain and yet, according to the app and web, no rain has been detected.

    It rained on 4/18 and 4/26.

    It currently is in pause based on yesterdays rain event, but both 'last detected' is showing 4/18.  I am presuming that it will update once the rain event of yesterday clears.

    but it does show.

    Well, then, I guess I have a problem. Mine will eventually show it, but the real question is why it must wait until 'later' to show.

    The unit knows its raining, pauses watering, yet always shows Never.

    Do you have your rain sensor connected to the Sensor terminal or in line with the common?

    As long as the Rain Sensor is connected to the Sensor terminal, when activated, you should get a red pop up display on the bottom of the RainMachine app that notifies you there is an active restriction. 

    If this is not working correctly I can certainly help you trouble shoot this. Please send an email to brandon@rainmachine.com,and include the email your using on your device, and I'd be glad to look into this for you.

    Yes, I have a rain sensor connected to the sensor terminal.

    The sensor works, watering is paused, I get the red suspended notice.

    The question was/is, why does the last rain detected not show when it rained but waits days to show it for a short time, then displays Never again.

    You know, the function 'Raining? Yes. Show when rain was detected and keep it there until it rains again.' and my question aren't really that difficult.

    My questions, were to make sure your setup supported detecting rain, which it does. 

    Unfortunately the last detected rain event is listed after the rain sensor dries up, are you not seeing this happen?

    The status is very erratic.

    The pause is always accurate, if it rains the sensor trips and the Mini-8 pauses watering.
    It's just the Last Detected that is not. Sometimes, it will say 'Never' sometime it will show when it last rained.
    At least it is reporting that now, albeit a day or two late. By late, I think it should show when rain is detected, clearly it knows when that takes place.

    It rains Monday morning. Tuesday it is bone dry, the pause is released and the Mini-8 is operating normally. Should the Last Detected show Monday, Tuesday, wait until Friday to show Wednesday, show Never?

    I've seen all those and as there is no logic that I can see, I just wanted to point it out for future releases.

    Again, it is only cosmetic, doesn't affect the watering at all.

    Maybe it's actually a refresh issue on the iOS app ? Could you try to use web interface and note any differences (at least web interface can be forcefully refreshed)

    It has rained nearly all day and the sensor has tripped.

    Watering is suspended because of the rain sensor.

    Last detected rain event Tue May 15 2018

    Both iOS app and web interface show the same.

    Refresh of either produce no change.

    Product enhancement request: Adding the time along with the date that the (hardware) rain sensor was tripped as well as the time that the sensor resets would be very useful information.
