No more "watering paused" banner in iOS app?
I'm currently running v4.5.106 of the RM IOS App on a Iphone 6plus with iOS v11.4 in conjuntion with a HD-12 Rainmachine running v 4.0.927 firmware. I've noticed that sometime within the last 2-3 iOS versions of the app, the red banner that would slide up from the bottom of the app if watering was paused due to a rain detection has gone missing. I can see that on the RM unit itself, I still get the red banner at the bottom of the screen during a rain event but no such banner is happening on the iOS App. Is the omission of that banner in the iOS app a bug or was it deliberately removed? If it was deliberate, can you add it back? I liked it.

Hi, Gregory
No, nothing has been removed from the iOS app without notifying you first. The red notification bottom banner is still there, sometimes may need few seconds to show up and if it is hidden, the top red knob will be visible.
See attached the screenshots made with our latest RainMachine iOS app available on App Store and a RainMachine Touch HD-16 device with the Rain Sensor activated.

Thank you,

So I have rain right now and I'm looking at the screen on my HD-12 and it has the "paused" banner across the bottom of the screen but the iOS app does not. I did some troubleshooting and found the problem only happens if the RM is configured in the iOS app as a "direct access" configuration as opposed to "auto detected". My RM sits on a different subnet than my iphone so I have to use the direct connect method. If I put my phone on the same subnet as the RM (so auto discovery will work) then choosing the auto discovered RM unit in the app will result in the "paused" banner appearing at the bottom of the app. Can you guys fix it so the banner notification works via "direct access"? It used to work with direct access 2-3 iOS app versions back.
