Ideas and enhancement area sorting issue

Seems the "sort by recent activity" isn't right for the above area as there are items hours ago listed after days ago items.. This area does seem okay.

  Hi, Ian
  The posts with a grey background are pinned on the top, because of their importance. We choose to keep them on top until everybody acknowledges their info.

  All other posts beneath them will be sorted out as you choose in the sorting combo box selection, like:
  - Newest Post
  - Recent Activity
  - Votes
  - Comments

  I realize this but look again - there are items under the pinned grey area out of order.

  Yes, Ian
  What you see there is the moment when the post was created and not when it was the last activity for it, like the last reply. If you’ll sort them as “Newest Post” you’ll see that they will sort correctly.

  Understand but surely recent activity is that - by sorting by the most recent activity should give you  that: the later replies irrespective of when first created  would be recent activity so listed first after the grey pinned items. Newest post to me suggests a "new post" - those raised the last few days would be at the top and above an older post with a reply an hour ago.

  I think the date, time and name for the last post/poster should be listed, rather than the information regarding the original post/poster.  Other forums use this by default.  And the default sorting should be by the date/time of last post, in descending order.

  Listing in that manner is much more intuitive.

  A highlighted area of posts deemed important could be listed above the sequential list, if desired by the forum sponsor.
