Firmware wont update

Hi,
New user. Have had my mini-8 sitting in a box for the last year unused. Fired it up for the first time yesterday, and its firmware is listed as: "4.0.900 (No updates)". I have also enabled the beta firmware flag.

I see the current official firmware is: 4.0.926 and beta is 4.0.972.
I've let it sit for a long period, performed the physical button push on the unit it force it to update, rebooted it etc, tried the web UI as well as Android app, but cant get it to update.

Any advice?
I'm keen to get the 4.0.945 beta update running so that I can run WUnderground without the API key as per: https://support.rainmachine.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360012316254-System-keeps-disabling-Wunderground

There is nothing wrong with your Mini-8 device. We encounter a small problem on our update service and soon it will be fixed.
