NOAA periodic errors

My ongoing battle with unable to get weather data continues with this system...

I had to disable WU due to the rainmachine not updating the WU API.

Every so often NOAA would also fail... I thought it was my network but is not...

NOAA will stop getting info with error: Error: No hourly information found

To test I add it my own clientraw.txt generated link to see if it would fail to get that data just like it does with WU or NOAA.

 

No surprise.... It does not fail. It works just fine.

 

What is going on raincmachine? Why is NOAA failing?

 

Please help. I need a reliable system... :(

  I am also recently getting periodic NOAA fetch errors.  Rather than hijacking your thread, I started the one titled "Error fetching hourly data from NOAA".

  Yes, NOAA had some trouble lately but it will automatically retry. It should automatically fix after a few retries even if the "wrench" led still blinks.

  It doesn't happen on all locations and so far we haven't been able to pinpoint an actual location based pattern.

  We found out that if we reduce the number of data points requested from NOAA it works faultlessly. So far for 2 weeks in our internal testing, requesting smaller chunks of data, worked without any issue. The next update will contain this workaround.
