Mini-8 two control valves open at same time

Is there anything on the controller end that I can troubleshoot to see if my Mini-8 is causing 2 valves to open at the same time?  

1. When Zone-A comes on, both Zone-A and Zone-B are watering with all heads at full flow

2. When Zone-B comes on, Zone-B heads run at full flow, and Zone-A heads only at about 1/4 flow.

As part of a landscaping project, irrigation company recently removed (capped) all but 2 heads on Zone-B.  I think the issue could be related to that, but irrigation guy said they made no other changes.

  Hi Fred,

  Just to be sure, I would test them one more time separately:
  1. remove Zone B wires from your RainMachine and turn Zone A ON
  2. remove Zone A wires from your RainMachine and turn Zone B ON

  If you see two valves running during any of these tests, there might be a short between your valves someplace other than in your RainMachine. Which outputs are you connecting your Zone A and Zone B? Do you have a Master Valve configured?

  Istvan - Many thanks for the advice.  I did run through those steps and found that both valves worked properly.  Irrigation folks came out yesterday. After a lot of digging, discovered that they had cross-connected the 2 zones with pipe when they made the earlier changes.  Problem had nothing to do with the controller, valves or wiring!
