Watering Program advice (not watering enough)
I have a problem with trying to get my rain machine to water my lawn and flower bed more often than it is. I have a personal weather station and use the custom "user uploaded" ambient weather network python script provided by someone in the community. I also use NOAA and ForcastIO to predict and find the information provided by all of these sources is very accurate for prediction and past weather information.
The problem is by going in and setting up my proper soil type and slope along with the amount of sun and whether it's grass or bushes (I have Bermuda and live in south Texas and have a couple of flower beds with drought tolerant plants) I can't seem to get everything to water enough.
I keep getting Water surplus on days where it should be watering I really don't think it's properly taking into account how much the hot days down here dry up the land. I have tried messing around with the settings per zone and then checking the log for the rmsimulator to see how it's effecting the water needed category. My two flower beds show a huge deficit but because my other zones are surplus the single adaptive schedule i have doesn't run.
Should i just set all zones to whatever the setting that shows the deficit so that they all water by the "lowest common denominator" in this case?
I know Bermuda can scale back and is very drought tolerant but i don't want it doing that which is why i have a watering system in the first place, I want it nice and lush green and that requires a ton of water in this hot climate.
I sent the above to RM to see what they recommend but I was also interested in hearing what the community has to say.
I might be able to reverse engineer what i need if i had a way to force the rmsimulator to run, does anyone know a way to do that?

I am the exactly same situation. I have NOAA prediction and my reliable Ambient Weather station with rain sensor, both hooked up and talking to RainMachine. NOAA predicts rain all the time, that does not fall in my area. But instead of picking up on the ACTUAL rain sensor data, and realizing the rain did not fall and adjusting the irrigation volume accordingly, RainMachine happily pretends the rain was there that was not there.... Result: My wife complains about brown grass and unhappy flowers, and I have to start manual watering programs often, which then in urn make it worse with the algorithm wanting o skip even more days. That is a major software issue that needs to be urgently fixed, i.e. that if you have an actual local weather sensor, it should take over all current and historic data input.
