No Watering in Days, No Watering Upcoming
I'm running 4.0.993 on a Mini-8
Since last week, I am getting no watering at all. The weather here has been mid 80s, sunny and breezy.
I see Water Surplus and Adaptive Frequency Skip listed as reasons for no watering.
The lawn is becoming dry and I'd like to get to the bottom of why there has been zero water applied.

Worth looking into one of your program zones how much Water Surplus is in the soil. You can do this from Web UI > Zone X > Show graph (next to the field capacity).
If you have a Field Capacity of 1 inch and it's actually dry at 1 inch in soil the Field Capacity should be reduce. It means that soil retains much less water that the setting that you have (more sandy for example)

Thank you Nicholas. I looked and the field capacity is 0.45 inches and it is showing in optimum zone or above for the period shown on the graph.
My questions is, how is the water being 'available' as it has not watered and there has been no rain while the weather has been sunny, warm, and breezy.

Probably the weather service reported some rain, there should be weather data above that Water Surplus graph.
I would also check the ET graph tab from the Weather Services to see the relation to 100% watering duration and what's being calculated daily.
One last suggestion would be to increase wind sensitivity if your lawn actually gets breezy wind. The default RainMachine setting is pretty conservative for lawns between buildings
that don't get much wind.

Thanks Nicholas, I have looked into the ET and water actually recorded and will likely make changes to wind sensitivity.
I am connected to NOAA and to my own PWS for weather.
My lawn is a corner lot with >20% slopes on three sides. It is generally breezy (<5 MPH) here but no near neighbors to create a wind tunnel between houses.
