Hostname for RainMachine HD-12

I have a Rainmachine HD-12 and trying to set the hostname. It doesn't take the one assigned by DHCP and appears as Android-1c415362XXX

I tried to follow the instructions in https://support.rainmachine.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360048728654-No-Hostname-of-Device but that is for the Pro-8 which I believe isn't the same OS as the HD-12

What do I need to change to set the hostname on the HD-12?

  I'm looking for an answer for this also. The hostname on the ssh console is rainmachine, but it registers in DHCP with android-*. I'd like to be able to set the hostname so that I can configure it in DNS properly. I could use a CNAME, but that seems like a kludgy workaround for something that should happen automatically. Please correct the DHCP hostname to match the console hostname in the firmware, or provide instructions on how to set both, persistent across reboots and firmware updates.
