    Hi, Victor

Due to the high volume of questions regarding the change in services we created this FAQ to answer your questions.
    https://support.rainmachine.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/6528495927959-RainMachine-Premium-Services-FAQ
A few things we'd like to highlight are:
1- RainMachine will continue to operate regardless of your subscription status. A subscription trial will be available, free, for 30 days. When the trial expires, the machine will continue to operate normally, see FAQ #2, #3 and #4.
2- You can still access your RainMachine remotely, without a subscription through Direct Access feature.
3- All RainMachines will continue to get weather data from NOAA, METNO as well as Personal Weather Stations.
4- Software updates, support resources such as Forums, FAQs & knowledge-base as well as basic email support will continue to be free for non-premium users. Prioritized support for Premium users only.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
    Thank you.

Actually, disabling a product several years after it was paid for is ILLEGAL. Green Electronics LLC - I am putting you on public notice that you restore our machines back to their original condition or I and many others will begin taking legal action against your company. Please also note, that we will be seeking damages beyond the costs of the device for the mental distress this is causing.

Total scam of a company. I customers place class action or selling a product with remote access and then all of a sudden force charging customers to pay to use it. I am sending this scam to my state attorney's office,. Ultimately they will be out of business and us customers who paid hundreds of dollars for these controllers will be out of money.

Have to agree with all who have posted here and in other posts...this is a callous move on your part to begin charging for a feature that has been free and was an instrumental factor in deciding to purchase the product in the first place. I see that you absolve your consciences by providing an alternative to access the device for free which requires 4 pages of instructions and my time to configure my home router for port forwarding, which will likely screw up something else on my home network!! You know, the RainMachine worked great as I purchased it and have been using for 3+ years!! Go ahead and change the business model for future customers but don't screw over people that bought the product based on features that you offered at the time of purchase. I purposely avoided subscription based services when shopping for an irrigation controller so your about-face on this crucial aspect is a complete disregard of your current customer base.
