My Alexa won't discover my RainMachine

I have a new Alexa and it won't discover my RainMachine. I have checked the WiFi and it is okay. I have done everything other than portforwarding. Is there something I'm missing? Is there someplace to get an app for Alexa and the RainMachine?

When you say "I have done everything" do you meant that you enabled the Alexa service from Settings - System Settings and then you rebooted the RainMachine in order for the service to enable.
Then follow this article steps: https://support.rainmachine.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001622247-Alexa-Echo-direct-connection and don't forget to rename your zones and program with short understandable names so Alexa can discover them easily. Do not name your zones with numbers and other unique characters.
If this doesn't work you can try using the ifttt.com app and link both RainMachine and Amazon Alexa services and create your own applets to trigger actions on RainMachine when you talk with Alexa. Find out more: https://support.rainmachine.com/hc/en-us/articles/228652548-Alexa-Echo-through-IFTTT

I enabled Alexa and rebooted. I then even unplugged it to reboot it that way. Should my RainMachine have a special name? I have my zones named Zone 1, Zone 2 etc. I'll keep trying the direct connection. I'm not interested in IFTTT right now.

My Programs names are basic. Lawn Watering and Plant Watering. I named my system My Sprinklers.

By me changing the name to RainMachine it found some zones but only zone 10-12 which I don't use. Do I need to change the program names?

I ran discover again and now it found it all. Weird. I tried over 30 times yesterday. Just by changing the name the whole system to RainMachine seems to have made the difference.

It works. The only thing now is that if I run a zone it is only for 5 minutes or 3 minutes depending on the program. Where can I change that?

Yes, Alexa needs simple naming in order to understand and to discover the RainMachine device with
For now, you cannot change the zone times through Alexa. We are working on that.

Installed the skill. Enabled the service. Rebooted. Alexa scanned for devices. Still doesn't work.

Is internet access required by the Rainmachine to enable Alexa?

Yes. The internet connectivity is required to be able to use RainMachine Amazon Alexa skill.

The skill requires the remote access account on your RainMachine device to be enabled.
If you follow these steps you'll be able to control the RainMachine with Amazon Alexa, through RainMachine Amazon Alexa skill.
Also, remember to custom name your zones and programs with human readable (short - recommended) names.

Please try again by saying:
Alexa, open RainMachine
After the greetings say "List zones" and wait to hear if Alexa starts and list all your RainMachine zones.
We just tried and it worked on our side.

Please make sure that you're using the same Amazon account that you installed the RainMachine Amazon Alexa skill on your Alexa device.
Just try again.

Maybe be re-enable the access of the Alexa Skill to your RainMachine device.

As we said, the service is responding and it's working.

You should be able to use it. You Rainmachine is connected to the internet and accessible through https://my.rainmachine.com you enable the RainMachine Alexa Skill using thesame amazon account and using the RainMachine remote access account. Should work.

Currently, our RainMachine Amazon Alexa Skill is available only in English (US) language.
We will try to add additional languages, but this will take a new approval from Amazon, that takes some time.
