flow sensor click limits on Pro 16 and suggested models
This page describes installation of a flow sensor for a Pro 8/16 model.
There it says: "The flow input frequency limit of the RainMachine HD is 3Hz. It is a good practice to consult the supported devices list or to do a short calculation before ordering a flow meter for your irrigation system. The following flow meters match the criteria to be used with either of the RainMachine HD units:".
NOTE: they refer to the HD model, not the Pro.
It refers to this list of suggested sensor valves.

Looking at that list, we can calculate the number of clicks at various values of galleons per minute.
That table lists the clicks per gallon, but doesn't relate the clicks per gallon to the 3 HZ (3 clicks/second) limit.
From what I found on the net, my municipal water supply might be able to offer a maximum of 15 to 20 gpm.

If I did the math correctly, it looks like some of these flow sensors might *exceed* the 3 HZ limit?
Is there an accuracy tradeoff that favors flow meters with higher pulse/gallon values?

The 3HZ limit is for the HD model.
The pro 8/16 have:
The RainMachine Pro flow meter input can capture pulse rates up to 200Hz. Going above this limit will likely result in the RainMachine missing pulses and reporting lower flow rates than the actual values. To check whether a given flow meter qualifies or not, one should examine how many pulses it would send at maximum flow rate. It is this value that must not exceed the 200Hz limit.
